I just came across this documentary on Imran Khan on YouTube and I found it very interesting. Imran Khan, like other celebrities in the world, has had a colourful and interesting past. He was part of an exclusive social set in London during his cricketing years. However, Imran Khan’s private life does not interest me because I am not interested in analysing society lizards. This documentary of Imran Khan is very interesting because it explores his journey from the day he was born till now.

Firstly, it explores his cricketing days coupled with his privileged upbringing and then it briefly delves into his playboy years in London. Following on, we get a glimpse of his metamorphosis from a philanthropist into a politician. This documentary does a good job in painting a picture of a man who has had a long journey, full of ups and downs, yet he has always remained resilient and hopeful.

All of us have made mistakes in life and made wrong choices. In spite of Mr. Khan’s drawbacks and mistakes, I think he has the vision to change Pakistan for better in every given capacity. That is, he understands that Pakistan needs to curtail its defence budgets and spend heavily on education, healthcare, and create employment. Above all, he understands the importance of the rule of law in the society and as a result, he wants to create a system of governance in Pakistan which will give absolute independence to the judiciary.

If I had the right to vote in Pakistan, I would definitely vote for this man.
