If any of you is interested in knowing what the Lal Masjid fatwa against Tourism Minister Nilofar Bakhtiar is based on then click here for a larger image. The importance of these picture is not so much what they show, but what they say about the absurdity of the continuing Jamia Hafsa and Lal Masjid episode.
Men, said the Devil,
are good to their brothers:
they don’t want to mend
their own ways, but each other’s.
-Piet Hein

If this continues, we are heading for Mullah raj, which is highly undesirable.
I was wondering what this noise was all about, and now that I know form the images I have few words to add.
Those familiar with sky diving can attest to the fact (and assure sensitive people) that with the main chute in the back and a reserve chute in the front, wind jammer dress, hard harnesses, buckles and altimeters, there is very limited “sensual” proximity between the instructor and the first time student jumper diving together. Tight quarters in the airplan, helmets, glasses, gloves, noise and fear of the approaching moment further suppress harmonal urges.
Nilofer perhaps had more close encouters of every kind with her “guardian brothers” while riding a bus in Karachi.
My recommendation to the fatwa writers is to take a plunge, and to test the limits of faith, jump to conclusion without a chute… Paradise for ever!
Insightful comment, Anwar.

I dont know much about lal-masjid cheif but for sure women are given a very high status in islam of a mother, wife, sister and daughter. Islam never degrades women , indeed to touch strange men is a shameful act , moreover in public,it should never be encouraged at all.
